What’s To Come: Labor Day Sale Breakdown, ‘Pocket RPG’ Review, and a Commentary on Future of iOS Gaming

Hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cold soft-drinks – nothing better than an end of summer Labor Day party.

Later on in the day, we’ll have a breakdown of the Labor Day iOS sale and find out which games you should spend your hard earned cash on, a review of ‘Pocket RPG’, and a commentary on the Future of iOS Gaming.

‘Jetpack Joyride’ Hits App Store Tomorrow

Halfbrick’s latest game ‘Jetpack Joyride’ will be making it’s dent in Angry Birds’ sales tomorrow. If you don’t follow what Halfbrick makes, here’s a few games that you might have heard of; Age of Zombies, Monster Dash, and of course – Fruit Ninja.

If that doesn’t have you stoked already, here’s a trailer detailing some of the fun this game will be giving:

Anyone else excited? I sure am.

’1112 Episode 1′ is Now Free

I’ve been on the fence about getting this game (or any of them in the series) because of their relatively mixed reviews, although they’re leaning towards the positive. The game used to go for $4.99, but is now completely free. I’d recommend downloading, not only because it looks interesting, but because it’s free.

I’ll be giving it a (most definitely delayed) review for those who are contemplating if it’s even worth the space on your precious iDevice.

Anyone Else Having Croma Crashes?

This won’t effect my review score, but I’ve noticed that Croma would crash A LOT when trying to start the game up.

Hopefully there will be an update shortly to fix the crashing.

Anyone else having problems?

Sonic CD Coming to App Store

I love it when classic games can be played on my iOS devices; Final Fantasy, Doom, Wolfenstien, Marathon – those are just a few. I can soon add Sonic CD to that list.

Sonic CD was hands-down the best Sonic game made (que fanboy arguments). Beautiful artwork, awesome soundtrack, and loads of content. There’s no word on pricing yet, but I expect it to be in the $4.99 price range. Most certainly worthy of an investment.

In the meantime, here’s a demonstration.

Guardian Saga Free – One Day Only

I sure do love good ol’ RPG’s. Guardian Saga is one I’ve had my eye on for weeks, but just never got around to throwing the $1.99 at it. Well, today is my lucky day; Guardian Saga is free for a day, and a day only. Now I’ll finally be able to play some classic 8-bit retro style RPG that I’ve been wanting for a long time.
